John Gribble is a poet, sometimes writer on music and other topics, a Warren Wilson MFA grad, and a mostly-retired English teacher. A native Southern Californian, he has been a Tokyo resident since 1993. His work has appeared in numerous journals and collections in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and Japan. He has previously published two chapbooks, Umbrella Bones (Wordrunner Press, 1998) and Ueno Mornings (Wordrunner Press, 2014), and one full-length collectioin, Another Wrong Fedora (Printed Matter Press, 2005). Until recently he was one of the organizers of the annual Japan Writers Conference. 100 Poets, One Song Each, his verse translation of the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu, was recently published by Second Guess Press.
